Bangkok, Thailand — Ms. Minami Namiza, Supervisor of International Affairs Division and Head of Global – Bone Marrow Transplantation Center at Samitivej Hospitals, has been honored with the “Thep Satri ‘’ given to those who has made contributions to society’’
The award ceremony was part of the “Promoting Thai Women 2025” event, organized by the Committee for the Promotion of Thai Women in collaboration with governmental and private organizations, held on October 26, 2025, at the Air Force Auditorium. The ceremony was presided over by M.L.Charnroj Chompoonut.

The “Thep Satri” Award is a prestigious recognition presented to women with outstanding achievements, serving as role models for selfless dedication to society, and inspiring Thai women in all fields.

Ms. Minami was recognized as a leading woman with a significant role in advancing international healthcare, particularly in the field of Bone Marrow Transplantation, which has greatly contributed to improving the quality of life for patients both domestically and internationally.

Ms. Minami began her career driven by the desire to help people, eventually gaining opportunities to work with international charitable organizations for over ten years through the project “The Hope for Thalassemia”, which provides support to blood disorder patients across multiple countries in Global.

She said appreciatively,
“What keeps me going is the smile of patients who are given a chance at new life. I believe our duty is to build bridges of opportunity so that they can regain their lives.”

The Heart of Work and Challenges
As the leader of an international bone marrow transplantation team, Ms. Minami faces the uncertainty of patients’ lives. Every decision she makes is not just a professional duty but a matter of making life-or-death decisions for someone else.

“Every patient I assist is like a member of my family, so I must dedicate my whole heart,” she said.

In her role as Supervisor of International Affairs Division, Ms. Minami has established collaborative networks with hospitals and health organizations across multiple countries worldwide.

She communicates with “heart over title”, with sincerity and respect, aiming for the best interests of patients.

In 2024, she was awarded “Global women leader of the year”, further proving the capabilities of Thai women on the global stage.

She also adheres to the teachings of Islam:
“All people are siblings. If one part suffers, the rest also suffers.”

Ms. Minami is committed to propelling Thailand towards becoming a “Global Medical Hub”, integrating technology, innovation, and the heart of giving. She plans to develop programs to support children with blood disorders, cancer, and rare pediatric diseases, ensuring equitable access to treatment.
